Real-World Pathfinding using Agent-Based Simulation

چکیده

In this paper we demonstrate how agent-based simulation can be used for planning applications and especially for pathfinding problems which involve qualitative spatial constraints. Since we aim to assist human planners in the real-world, simulation agents have to deal with reliable GIS data, which ensure more realism for the simulation. We use our approach to support wildland fire suppression actions.
